As a child, Barbie was not my favorite toy/doll. In fact, she served only as pleasure slave to my favorite. Yes I was a messed up eight year old. <3

My favorite was, of course, G.I. Joe. Not too hard to see why since my dad's a lifer in the Air Force. I always loved my action figures; they fought off the baddies, and somehow managed to save the day and sleep with the girl. Who they then left for greener pastures. I was a pretty realistic kid, if I do say so myself.

Low and Behold there is a movie coming out ver. ver. soon if not already that has such a thing as this, my childhood love. With these commercials I have refound my past and come to terms with something I am not exactly proud of.

I like G.I. Joe fanfic entirely more than I should.

And I found /GOOD/ fanfic.

Enter Sinsofwill [link] BRILLIANT writer. EXCELLENT plotter. FANTASTIC characterization. NOT EVEN CAPSLOCK CAN GET THIS ACROSS. So, I am now sucked into the world of awesome interpersonal drama between my childhood heroes. I am totally happy about this. Then I realize I'm being spoiled as none, bar none of the episodes were even a third this good.

So yeah. If you have a moment, talk about your ungodly beautiful/horrible fanfic fixation. Mine is lovely, but I know those of my friends who only see Japanimation as fangirl worthy. So! Discuss! Bare yer souls for all to seeeee.

I've lately been really unsatisfied with the quality of my art. I just... I can't capture scenes in my head because I lack the skill to portray them correctly. I need to suck it up, forget style, and get into life drawing.

It'll be hard, since half the fun in drawing for me is the originality. But I need to just get this over with and learn how to draw real people. Anatomy, perspective... all of it.

So! This means I might be submitting more art. It won't be anything like the old stuff... but you never know. I just need to turn over a new leaf. It'll be interesting to say the least!

Ok, secret passion since I was a kid:

I've always wanted to voice act. Now, I'm not certain how much talent if any I have, but the passion is there. I'm sick as all hell right now, which maaay be biasing my quality of work (I have all the tone of a drunk, waterlogged weasel), but I found a voice recording program to play around with and it's a BLAST.

It also makes me want to get flash so I can voice characters I create... or ya know, just voice thing sin general and have pictures to go along with it.

SO if you have something that you want a free voice for, feel free to ask! I'm totally stoked about getting some practice in since I haven't acted in a few years. I've got a medium speaking voice and alto-second soprano singing range, if that makes a difference! GAH voice recording is FUUUUN

My Clubs

So yeah. this entire week I look forward to Anime Punch con. I tell all my friends about it. I catch up on Bleach and other manga. I get all excited and happy.

Thursday, I get told the school is having another satuday school for seniors to make up for the snow days back in january and december. I spazz, but nothing I can do. If I don't attend, I don't graduate. Such is life.

Friday, I get attacked by friends for not spending enough time with them, and then get homework heaped on me, and then get in trouble about my grades. However, there's still Sunday, right?

Nope. Sunday morning I wake up with a splitting head ache, a runny nose and a slight fever. I eat breakfast, and hurriedly have to take pills and pepto so as not to lose my breakfast. And, like all mothers should, mine takes one look at me and says that unless I make vast improvement over the next few hours, no con for me.

Dag, yo.

I hypothesize that someone at my school got me sick. Some other senior was a walking time bomb of discomfort and grossness. I come in to contect woth them, and Bam! My already stressed out immuse system dies a painful death.

So yeah, not a hell of a lot I can do about it. I'm SO SO SO sorry about not being able to make it, Sugar, I really am. I feel so bad that I couldn't have gotten to see you. But theres always other cons, right? ^^
